Tesla Solar Roof Certified Installer

Tesla offers two solar energy solutions; Solar Roof and solar panels. Which you choose depends on personal preference as both will help you become energy independent. 

Solar Roof is a great choice if you need to replace your roof anyway as it involves a full re-roof. If you have a roof less than 10 years old without damage, you may want to consider panels as a cheaper alternative. 

Solar Roof, with its seamlessly integrated solar and non-solar tiles, is extremely aesthetically pleasing as well as highly durable, so if you want to be the talk of your neighborhood, Solar Roof may be the way to go. 

Both Solar Roof and solar panels offer efficient energy production and both integrate with Tesla Powerwall to power your home at night and during outages. 

Tesla Solar Roof comes with three warranties:

Product Warranty - a 25 year warranty for the product itself, ensuring the roof will be free from defects in design and materials for 25 years. 

Weatherization Warranty - the roof will remain in place and prevent damage to your home caused by wind and rain through the Solar Roof for 25 years from the date of install. 

Module Warranty - the power capacity (ability for the roof to produce) will be at least 95% of the "Rated Peak Power" specified on the Solar Roof data sheet at 5 years after your Solar Roof is installed. It will then decline by no more than 0.5% per year for the following 20 years.

The simple answer is yes. One of the great things about the Tesla Solar Roof is that you can exchange non-active for active tiles if you decide you need to increase your solar coverage in the future. 

Make sure you hire a trusted contractor to do any repairs on your Solar Roof as many roofing contractors won't have worked with the product before. The good news is at Paradigm Roofing we will always be ready to help any of our customers with repairs as and when they need them. 

The first step is to provide us with a utility bill that ideally shows your energy usage over the last 12 months. Once we have that information, we will use high-resolution imagery and a home assessment to design a system that ideally offsets 100% of your energy usage. This will involve a 3D design of your home, showing where the active and non-active tiles will be placed on your roof to achieve coverage that will fulfill your energy needs. The Tesla Solar Roof gives us flexibility to take advantage of your unique roof setup where solar panels may not be able to so our designers can optimize the system based on where obstructions are that may block exposure to the sun. 

Typically it takes no more than 48 hours from receiving your utility bill to have a design complete with an estimated cost.

Although it is possible to increase the Solar Roof active tiles in the future, we encourage you to take future usage into account when installing the system. 

The glass solar tiles and steel non-active tiles are almost indistinguishable once installed, especially from the ground.  

Once you decide to move forward with a Solar Roof, we are working as hard as possible to secure permits, order materials and book an install date. Typically the entire process takes between 8 and 12 weeks with the actual install taking between 1 and 3 weeks.

Appropriate ventilation is critical to any roof and often overlooked by homeowners. Fortunately all Solar Roofs are installed with a continuous ridge-vent system which means your attic will get consistent venting to avoid hot air build up. This ables us to avoid penetrating the roof and leaving more room to install solar active tiles.

Gutters will be removed prior to installation and re-installed once the new roof is complete.

Copper gutters can not be anywhere near the Tesla panels and new gutters will need to be fascia mounted.

Absolutely. We will install underlayment on top of your decking that is guaranteed protection for up to 180 days so you can be confident that you will stay warm and dry whilst we install your Solar Roof. The three phases of installing a Solar Roof are:

Phase 3: Tile Installation

You may be entitled to a State and Federal tax credit as well as potentially other incentives offered by local utilities., often taking the form of a rebate.
